Coach,

I wanted to reach out to your club and make you aware of this book.   I wrote this novel from the perspective of being a wrestler, a coach, and a parent.

I grew up in Wisconsin, wrestled for Minnesota, and trained for the 96 Olympics in Greco Roman.  I've coached for number of years at many levels of our sport and I now live in Texas with my wife and children.   Currently, I help coach a youth program...and while that is certainly rewarding, I wanted to help promote wrestling on a broader level.

I wanted to write a story that made kids proud to be wrestlers.  I wanted to make sure wrestling was cast in the best possible light--highlighting the ideal aspects of our sport.  I also wanted the book to be a recruiting tool for coaches and something a coach could use to help "lock-in" those kids that might be on the periphery of wrestling.

And as a father of two young boys, I wanted the book to be something that parents could feel good about giving their children.  I know growing up there really wasn't much out there for kids that had a sports theme to it.  Hopefully, this will encourage some kids to read that otherwise might not be that interested.

I've attached a flyer for NearFall: Book One --The adventures of Matt and Mike.  This will be the first of a series of three novels.

If you have any trouble opening the email or need me to send the flyer to a fax/alternative email address, please let me know.

Thanks.  I hope you enjoy the book!

Sincerely,

Joe Reasbeck
